Webinar: Eliminating Unnecessary PFAS in Building Materials
When: May 13, 2021 10:00 AM PDT
Where: Online
This one-hour presentation introduced our new report, "Building a Better World: Eliminating Unnecessary Uses of PFAS in Building Materials." The report summarizes publicly available information about building materials containing PFAS - from roofing to paint to concrete sealers and more. The presentation gave an overview of our findings and proposed a path forward to reducing PFAS usage. To move away from nonessential uses of PFAS, the building industry will need to embrace increased transparency about material ingredients, and to prioritize developing, specifying, and using products without PFAS.
